To him who is the pride of all kings.

To the one all kings are proud of

أقسم بمن لا غيره ربّ

أقسم بمن لا غيره ربّ

وبالنبيّ ما يشبهوك

وبالنبيّ ما يشبهوك

I swear by Him besides whom there is no Lord,

I swear by the One with no equal as Lord

And by the Prophet: they do not match you

And by the Prophet, none can match you

في دين ثم مذهب

في دين ثم مذهب

تعطي الألوف تعطي اللكوك

تعطي الألوف تعطي اللكوك

In religion, and then in doctrine.

In religion or doctrine

You give thousands; you give hundreds of thousands.

You give thousands, you give abundance

في البر تعطي خيل شزّب

في البر تعطي خيل شزّب

وفي البحار تعطي الفلوك

وفي البحار تعطي الفلوك

On land, you give lean horses,

In righteousness, you give noble horses

And on the seas, you give boats.

And at sea, you give ships

أقدم فهذا خير مقدم

أقدم فهذا خير مقدم

بالعافيه ثم السرور

بالعافيه ثم السرور

Come forward, for this is the best of arrivals,

I come first, for this is the best preamble

With well-being, and then joy.

With well-being, then joy

للمسلمين فرج ومغنم

للمسلمين فرج ومغنم

لازلت يا بدر البدور

لازلت يا بدر البدور

For the Muslims, relief and gain.

For the Muslims, relief and spoils

May you ever remain, O full moon of full moons!

You remain, O full moon

اسلم ودم تحفظ وتسلم

اسلم ودم تحفظ وتسلم

من كلّ آفات الشرور

من كلّ آفات الشرور

Be safe and endure; may you be protected and unharmed

Submit, and may you be protected and safe

From all the scourges of evil.

From all evils and harm

وفي التقى أنت المجرب

وفي التقى أنت المجرب

وفي الوغا أسد يزوك

وفي الوغا أسد يزوك

And in piety, you are tried and proven,

In piety, you are the seasoned one

And in battle, a lion striding proudly.

In courage, a lion to be feared

من ذا يفاخر أو يباهل

من ذا يفاخر أو يباهل

في الحسب أو في النسب

في الحسب أو في النسب

Who can vie with you in glory or contend with you

Who can boast or contend

In ancestral honor, or in lineage?

In lineage or ancestry

فقت الأكابر والأفاضل

فقت الأكابر والأفاضل

بالدّين أيضاً والأدب

بالدّين أيضاً والأدب

You have surpassed the great and the virtuous

The best and the virtuous bow down

In religion, too, and in refinement.

Also in religion and manners

ان يجمع اللَه الفضائل

ان يجمع اللَه الفضائل

في واحد ما هي عجب

في واحد ما هي عجب

If God gathers the virtues

If God combines all virtues

In one person, it is no wonder.

In one, it is no wonder

فنعم جدّك خير منجب

فنعم جدّك خير منجب

وفي المفاخر نعم أبوك

وفي المفاخر نعم أبوك

How excellent, then, is your grandfather, the finest sire!

Indeed, your grandfather is the best source

And in deeds of honor, how excellent is your father!

And in glories, yes, your father too
