يا ليت جور بني مروان عاد لنا

وأن عدل بني العباس في النار

وأن عدل بني العباس في النار

If only the tyranny of Marwan’s house would return to us,

Oh, would that the injustice of Marwan's sons returned to us,

Oh, if only the oppression of the Marwanids would return to us,

and the justice of the Abbasids were cast into the Fire.

And that the justice of al-Abbas's sons were in the fire.

And the justice of the Abbasids was in the fire.
