بني هاشمٍ إلى نخلاتكم

O sons of Hashim, to your palm trees!

For the price of dates stands at one ṣāʿ for a dirham.

فإن قلتم رهط النبي وقومه

فإن قلتم رهط النبي وقومه

فإن النصارى رهط عيسى ابن مريم

فإن النصارى رهط عيسى ابن مريم

And if you say, ‘We are the Prophet’s kinsmen and his people,’

Then indeed the Christians are the kinsmen of Jesus, son of Mary.
