The letters of this victory came advancing,

strutting amid congratulations and glad tidings.

Exalted in glory, their beauties were not marred

by repeated mention of Zayd or Amr.

The faith's frontiers have begun to smile,

in admiration of it, after the furrowing of brows.

long past, heard through handed-down reports.

    فمن يدل على مافي المساطير

    Their proofs stand in the deeds themselves, plain to see;

so who can prove what lies in the chronicles?

May your glory never suffer the danger we fear

for it, in a sea of war you have set ablaze.

For no danger that descends upon you is driven

from your kingdom except through danger.
