  1. إن كان قد حجبوه عني غيرةً

    منهم عليه فقد قنعت بذكره

    If they have hidden him from me out of jealousy

    On their part over him, then I am content with mentioning him.

  2. كالمسك ضاع لنا وضاع مكانه

    عنا فأغنى نشره عن نشره

    Like musk, whose scent wafts to us while its whereabouts are lost

    To us—its fragrance spares us the need to spread it out.
