A house where water flowed in from its lower parts,
A house through which water flowed
and from its upper parts, until it seeped down unchecked.
From the bottom up until it cracked, gushing out
كأننيas though I وعياليand my family فيin جوانبهits sides
كأنني وعيالي في جوانبه
طويرlittle birds ماءwater علىon سَكْرa dam قدalready انبثقاburst open
طوير ماء على سَكْر قد انبثقا
As though my family and I, within its walls,
As though my family and I on its sides
were little waterbirds on a dam that had burst open.
Were birds alighting on a spring that burst forth
