رأس من يدّعي البلاغة مني
ومنand from الناسthe people كلهمall of them فيin حرمهْhis harem
ومن الناس كلهم في حرمهْ
The head of whoever claims eloquence—my own included—
The head of whoever claims eloquence from me
And of all mankind is in his harem.

وأخوناand our brother ولستand I do not أعنيmean سعيدSa‘id بنson of
وأخونا ولست أعني سعيد بن
