ياO منyou who نلوذُwe seek refuge بمالهin his wealth وبجاههand in his standing
يا من نلوذُ بماله وبجاهه
فنفوزand thus we obtain بالإسعافِwith aid والإسعادِand support
فنفوز بالإسعافِ والإسعادِ
O you in whose wealth and standing we seek refuge,
O you whom we take refuge in your wealth and status
and thus obtain aid and support.
Thus we attain aid and happiness
ماnot إنat all (emphatic) شكوناwe complained فيamid الخطوبcalamities ضلالةًbeing astray
ما إن شكونا في الخطوب ضلالةً
إلاexcept that رأيناwe saw منكin you موسىMusa الهاديthe guide
إلا رأينا منك موسى الهادي
Never did we complain of being astray amid calamities
No sooner do we complain of going astray in sorrows
without seeing in you Musa, the guide.
Than we see in you Moses the guide
