يا أيها المولى الذي لِنَدَى
كَفَّيهِhis two palms كلُّall الجودgenerosity منسوبُattributed
كَفَّيهِ كلُّ الجود منسوبُ
O master, to the bounty of whose
O Master whose hands are attributed
two palms all generosity is ascribed,
All generosity to their dew,
لاno غروwonder أنthat أصبحتَyou have become تأمُرُyou command بالwith the
لا غرو أن أصبحتَ تأمُرُ بال
صَّبرِpatience الجميلِbeautiful فأنتfor you are يعقوبYa‘qub (Jacob)
صَّبرِ الجميلِ فأنت يعقوب
no wonder you have come to enjoin
No wonder you command noble patience -
beautiful patience, for you are Ya‘qub.
