أجفانهhis eyelids ضَمِنتguaranteed ليto me صِدقtruthfulness موعِدِهhis promise
أجفانه ضَمِنت لي صِدق موعِدِه
فكيفَso how توفىfulfill ضماناًa guarantee وهيwhile they تِنكرُهُdeny it
فكيفَ توفى ضماناً وهي تِنكرُهُ
His eyelids guaranteed me the truth of his promise;
His eyelids promised me his promise was true,
So how can they fulfill a guarantee while denying it?
Yet how did he fulfill his guarantee, when they now deny it?
