إمام الورى المبعوث من آل هاشم

لنا وبرسول اللَه فيه رجاءُ

لنا وبرسول اللَه فيه رجاءُ

The leader of humankind, sent from the house of Hashim—

Imam of all creation, sent from the Hashimites

and in him, God's Messenger, we have hope.

We have hope in the Messenger of Allah

إذا بعثَ الله النبيينَ في غد

إذا بعثَ الله النبيينَ في غد

وضمهمُ للهاشمي لواءُ

وضمهمُ للهاشمي لواءُ

When God raises the prophets on the morrow,

If Allah sends the prophets tomorrow

and the Hashimite's banner gathers them together,

And gathers them under the Hashimite banner

أتت أُمةُ المختارِ ترجو شفاعةً

أتت أُمةُ المختارِ ترجو شفاعةً

يُقصّر عن إدراكها الشفعاءُ

يُقصّر عن إدراكها الشفعاءُ

the Chosen One's community will come seeking intercession

The chosen nation came seeking intercession

that other intercessors fall short of attaining.

The intercessors fall short of comprehending it

أمنَّا به في الحشرِ مما نَخافُه

أمنَّا به في الحشرِ مما نَخافُه

لأنَّ لنا وعداً وفيه وفاءُ

لأنَّ لنا وعداً وفيه وفاءُ

Through him we are safe at the Gathering from what we fear,

We believed in him on the Day of Resurrection from what we fear

for we have a promise, and he is faithful.

For we have a promise in which there is fulfillment

أيثربَ من لي لو ظفرتُ بتربةٍ

أيثربَ من لي لو ظفرتُ بتربةٍ

يزولُ بها عنّي شقى وعناءُ

يزولُ بها عنّي شقى وعناءُ

O Yathrib, who will aid me? If only I could obtain some soil

O Yathrib, if I gained a handful of soil

through which my misery and suffering would leave me.

Hardship and sorrow would leave me

إذا نظرت عيناي تُربةَ أحمدً

إذا نظرت عيناي تُربةَ أحمدً

فحظّي منها للعليلِ شِفاءُ

فحظّي منها للعليلِ شِفاءُ

When my eyes behold the soil of Ahmad,

When my eyes see the soil of Ahmed

then my portion of it is healing for the ailing.

My share of it is healing for the sick

أقولُ لقلبي قد وجدتَ مسرَّةً

أقولُ لقلبي قد وجدتَ مسرَّةً

فبُشراك بعد اليوم ليسَ تُسَاءُ

فبُشراك بعد اليوم ليسَ تُسَاءُ

I tell my heart: You have indeed found joy;

I say to my heart you have found joy

so glad tidings to you—after today you shall not be grieved.

So receive good tidings, after today there is no misery

اخير الورى من غير شكِّ وريبة

اخير الورى من غير شكِّ وريبة

ومن شُرقَت أرضُ به وسماءُ

ومن شُرقَت أرضُ به وسماءُ

O best of humankind, without doubt or misgiving,

The best of creation, without doubt or suspicion

and you through whom earth and heaven grew radiant,

The earth and sky shone because of him

أقل عثرتي حينَ أبعثُ في غد

أقل عثرتي حينَ أبعثُ في غد

أسيراً لذنبٍ عز منه فداء

أسيراً لذنبٍ عز منه فداء

pardon my lapse when I am raised on the morrow,

My stumbling is lesser when I rise tomorrow

a captive to a sin from which ransom is hard to obtain.

A prisoner of a sin beyond redemption

إذا لم يكُن لي عند ربّك شافِعاً

إذا لم يكُن لي عند ربّك شافِعاً

فذاكَ مصابٌ ليس فيه عزَاءُ

فذاكَ مصابٌ ليس فيه عزَاءُ

If he is not an intercessor for me before your Lord,

If I do not have an intercessor with Your Lord

then that is a calamity in which there is no consolation.

Then that is an affliction without consolation
