ظِباءٌ بِأَعلى الرَقمتينِ قيامُ
The wine ewers in their midst seem
It is as though the wine ewers beside them
Their wine jugs seem like gazelles
As if the pitchers of wine before them
like gazelles standing on the heights of al-Raqmatayn.
were gazelles standing on the heights of al-Raqmatayn.
standing erect on their hind legs,
Were gazelles standing upon the heights of Al-Raqmatayn,

مِنَ اللينِ لَم يَخلق لَهُنَّ عِظامُ
They drank until their necks appeared
And they have drunk until it seems their necks,
And they drank until their necks
And they drank until it seemed as though their necks,
so supple that no bones had been made for them.
so limp, were made without bones.
were too limp to support bones.
From sheer suppleness, were created without bones.
