يفتّت أكبادي والقلب أوحشا
Has the raven of parting cried out, my friend, deep within my breast,
Has the raven of parting cried, my friend, within my breast?
rending my liver and leaving my heart desolate?
It shatters my livers, and my heart has grown desolate.
فللّهso, for God's sake ياO زوارvisitors to قبريmy grave سلمواoffer greetings
فللّه يا زوار قبري سلموا
عليهupon it وقولواand say حبهhis love حلsettled فيwithin الحشاthe breast
عليه وقولوا حبه حل في الحشا
For God’s sake, O visitors to my grave, pronounce peace
So, for God's sake, O visitors to my grave, offer greetings
over it, and say: “His love settled in my innermost breast.”
