أنتَ قِدْماً أتحْتَ لي من رَجائي

أنتَ قِدْماً أتحْتَ لي من رَجائي

بِكَ أُنساً بِبِرِّكَ المُسْتَرام

بِكَ أُنساً بِبِرِّكَ المُسْتَرام

You long ago granted me, through my hope

You came to me with feet of my hopes

in you, comfort through your sought-after kindness.

With you I feel companionship in your abundant grace

فاقْرِ فَقري غِنىً فإنَّيَ ضَيْفٌ

فاقْرِ فَقري غِنىً فإنَّيَ ضَيْفٌ

وقِرى الضَّيفِ مِن سَجايا الكِرامِ

وقِرى الضَّيفِ مِن سَجايا الكِرامِ

So treat my poverty to riches, for I am a guest,

So grant my poverty riches, for I am a guest

And hospitality to a guest is among the traits of the generous.

And hosting a guest is among the traits of nobility
