عِندي فديتُكَ سادَةٌ أحرارُ

عِندي فديتُكَ سادَةٌ أحرارُ

وقلوبُهُمْ شَوقاً إليكَ حِرارُ

وقلوبُهُمْ شَوقاً إليكَ حِرارُ

With me, may I be your ransom, are noble, freeborn men.

I have loyal free men who yearn for you,

And their hearts burn with longing for you.

Their hearts aflame with fervent love for you.

وشَرابُنا شربُ العُلومِ وبينَنا

وشَرابُنا شربُ العُلومِ وبينَنا

نُزَهُ الحديثِ ونُقْلُنا الأشعار

نُزَهُ الحديثِ ونُقْلُنا الأشعار

And our drink is a draught of knowledge, and among us

Our drink is learning's draught, and between us

are the delights of conversation, and our sweetmeats are poems.

فامنُنْ علَينا بالبدارِ فإنَّما

أعمارُ أوقات السُّرورِ قِصارُ

أعمارُ أوقات السُّرورِ قِصارُ

So favor us by coming swiftly, for

So favor us with your company, for life

moments of joy have but brief lives.

Is fleeting, and its joys are few and brief.
