خصائصُ مَنْ تشاورُهُ ثلاثٌ

خصائصُ مَنْ تشاورُهُ ثلاثٌ

فخُذْ مِنها جَميعاً بالوَثيقَهْ

فخُذْ مِنها جَميعاً بالوَثيقَهْ

The qualities of one you consult are three;

so make certain of them all:

So adhere to them closely and tightly

وِدادٌ خالِصٌ ووُفورُ عَقْلٍ

وِدادٌ خالِصٌ ووُفورُ عَقْلٍ

ومَعرِفَةٌ بحالِكَ والحَقيقَهْ

ومَعرِفَةٌ بحالِكَ والحَقيقَهْ

sincere affection and abundant intellect,

Sincere affection, abundant intellect

and knowledge of your circumstances and the truth.

And knowledge of your state and the truth

فَمنْ حصلَتْ هذي المعاني

فَمنْ حصلَتْ هذي المعاني

فتابِعْ رأْيَهُ والزَمْ طريقَهْ

فتابِعْ رأْيَهُ والزَمْ طريقَهْ

So whoever possesses these qualities—

So whoever attains these meanings

follow his counsel and keep to his path.

Follow their view and stick to their path
