قُل للأميرِ أدامَ ربِّي عِزَّهُ

قُل للأميرِ أدامَ ربِّي عِزَّهُ

وأنالَهُ من فَضلِهِ مكنونَهُ

وأنالَهُ من فَضلِهِ مكنونَهُ

Tell the emir—may my Lord perpetuate his glory

Tell the prince may my Lord make his glory last

and grant him what lies hidden in His bounty—

And grant him from His grace a treasure stored,

إنّي جَنَيتُ ولم يزل نُبُلُ الورى

إنّي جَنَيتُ ولم يزل نُبُلُ الورى

يهبون للخدّام ما يجنونَهُ

يهبون للخدّام ما يجنونَهُ

I have sinned, and the noble among mankind have always

Though I have reaped fruits, nobility's bounty still

forgiven servants the wrongs they commit.

Flows to servants as plentiful reward,

ولقد جمعت من الذنوبِ فنونَها

ولقد جمعت من الذنوبِ فنونَها

فاجمع من العفوِ الجميلِ فنونَهُ

فاجمع من العفوِ الجميلِ فنونَهُ

And I have indeed amassed sins of every kind;

And though my sins are many and diverse,

so gather every kind of gracious pardon.

Let Your forgiveness, beautiful and free,

مَن كانَ يرجو عَفوَ مَن هو فوقَهُ

مَن كانَ يرجو عَفوَ مَن هو فوقَهُ

عن ذنبِهِ فليعفُ عمّن دونَهُ

عن ذنبِهِ فليعفُ عمّن دونَهُ

Whoever hopes for pardon from one above him

Surpass them. He who hopes the lofty one

for his sin, let him pardon those beneath him.

Will pardon him should pardon those below.
