Say to the jurist, the most eminent of all people
Say to the wise man, the most noble of all people,
in worth, and highest among them in the ranks of his glory,
In rank, and the highest of them in glory,

and whose judgment has come to be, for the one who asks him,
He whose opinion tomorrow will make sacrifices,

When the night of problems overwhelms and confuses,

What do you think of a heart filled with grief
What do you see in a heart wherein lies dormant,
that wears out consolation, with distressing longing and sorrow?
Grief and disturbing longing and anguish?
