خُذِ العَفْوَ وأمُرْ بعُرْفٍ كما

خُذِ العَفْوَ وأمُرْ بعُرْفٍ كما

أمِرْتَ وأَعرِضْ عنِ الجاهِلينْ

أمِرْتَ وأَعرِضْ عنِ الجاهِلينْ

Practice forgiveness and enjoin what is right, as

Take the pardon and command with kindness as

you were commanded, and turn away from the ignorant.

ولِنْ في الكَلامِ لِكْلِّ الأنامِ

ولِنْ في الكَلامِ لِكْلِّ الأنامِ

فُمستَحْسَنٌ مِن ذَوي الجاهِ لِينْ

فُمستَحْسَنٌ مِن ذَوي الجاهِ لِينْ

And be gentle in speech with all people,

For in speech for all people

for gentleness is commendable in those of high standing.

Good is from those with gentle authority
