ياO مَنyou who يَرىregards خِدمَةَservice to السُّلطانِthe sultan عُدَّتَهُhis mainstay
يا مَن يَرى خِدمَةَ السُّلطانِ عُدَّتَهُ
ماnot أَرْشُcompensation كَدِّكَyour toil إلاّexcept الذُّلُّhumiliation والنَّدَمُand regret
ما أَرْشُ كَدِّكَ إلاّ الذُّلُّ والنَّدَمُ
O you who regard service to the sultan as your mainstay,
O you who see serving the sultan as your asset
The recompense for your toil is nothing but humiliation and regret.
Nothing awaits your toil except humiliation and regret
دَعِforgo الوُجودَattainment فخَيرٌfor better منthan وجودِكَyour obtaining ماwhat
دَعِ الوُجودَ فخَيرٌ من وجودِكَ ما
تَبغيهِyou seek it عندَهُمُwith them الحِرمانُdeprivation والعَدَمُand lack
تَبغيهِ عندَهُمُ الحِرمانُ والعَدَمُ
Forgo attainment, for better than your obtaining what
Leave existence, for non-existence is better than your existence
you seek from them are deprivation and lack.
What you seek from them is deprivation and annihilation
