ثَبتَ المودَّةِ لا يُبغى به بَدَلُ

O you who have come to seek a brother among humankind,

O you who have become a seeker among people, a brother

Steadfast in affection, for whom no substitute is sought,

With steadfast affection, for which no substitute is sought

عرِّج عليَّ فما في رونقي رَنَقٌ

عرِّج عليَّ فما في رونقي رَنَقٌ

لِمَن أُصافي ولا في خُلّتي خَلَلُ

لِمَن أُصافي ولا في خُلّتي خَلَلُ

Turn aside to me, for no murk dims my luster

Stop by me, for in my grace there is no affectation

For those I sincerely befriend, nor is there any flaw in my friendship.

For those I befriend, nor in my solitude, any flaw
