ياO مَنْyou who غداhave become حُسْناًan adornment لِوجهِto the face of زمانِهِhis age
يا مَنْ غدا حُسْناً لِوجهِ زمانِهِ
وأرىand showed الوَرىall people شركاءَsharers فيin إحسانِهِhis bounty
وأرى الوَرى شركاءَ في إحسانِهِ
O you who have become an adornment to the face of your age,
O you whose beauty adorns the face of time,
And shown all people to be sharers in your bounty,
And I see all creation as partners in your benevolence,
أوْصِinstruct الزَّمانَTime فإنَّهُfor indeed it لكَto you خادِمٌa servant
أوْصِ الزَّمانَ فإنَّهُ لكَ خادِمٌ
بِصيانَتيto safeguard me فيin ضِمنِهِits keeping وضَمانِهِand its guarantee
بِصيانَتي في ضِمنِهِ وضَمانِهِ
Instruct Time, for it is your servant,
Instruct time, for it is your servant,
To safeguard me in its keeping and under its protection.
To protect me within its fold and its surety.
