يامَنْO you who يُساميaspire to العُلاeminence عًفْواًeffortlessly بلاwithout تعبٍtoil
يامَنْ يُسامي العُلا عًفْواً بلا تعبٍ
هيهاتَfar beyond reach نيلُattainment of العُلاeminence عفواًeffortlessly بلاwithout تَعَبِtoil
هيهاتَ نيلُ العُلا عفواً بلا تَعَبِ
O you who aspire to eminence effortlessly, without toil,
O you who aspires to the heights effortlessly without toil
Far beyond reach is attaining eminence effortlessly, without toil!
Alas! Reaching the heights effortlessly without toil is impossible
عليكَyou must بالجِدِّwith diligence إنِّيindeed I لمdid not أجدْfind أحداًanyone
عليكَ بالجِدِّ إنِّي لم أجدْ أحداً
حَوىgained نصيبَa share of العُلاeminence منfrom غيرِother than ماemphatic particle نَصَبِtoil
حَوى نصيبَ العُلا من غيرِ ما نَصَبِ
Be diligent; indeed, I have found no one
You must make the effort, for I have not found anyone
Who gained a share of eminence without any toil.
Who attained a share of the heights without enduring hardship
