يا سَيِّدَ الأُمراءِ يا مَن جودُهُ
أوفىsurpasses علىabove الغَيثِthe rain المَطيرِpouring إذاwhen همىit pours
أوفى على الغَيثِ المَطيرِ إذا همى
O lord of princes, O you whose generosity
O prince of princes, O you whose generosity
Surpasses the pouring rain when it falls.
Is more reliable than rainclouds when they promise rain.
الغيثُthe rain يُعطيgives باكِياًweeping مُتَجَهِّماًscowling
الغيثُ يُعطي باكِياً مُتَجَهِّماً
ونَراكَand we see you تُعطيyou give ناضِراًradiant مُتَبَسِّماsmiling
ونَراكَ تُعطي ناضِراً مُتَبَسِّما
Rain gives while weeping and scowling,
The rain gives reluctantly with weeping and frowning,
And we see you give, radiant and smiling.
While you give happily with blossoming and smiles.
