أيا جامِعَ المالِ مِن حَلِّهِ

أيا جامِعَ المالِ مِن حَلِّهِ

تَبيتُ وتُصبِحُ في ظِلِّهِ

تَبيتُ وتُصبِحُ في ظِلِّهِ

O gatherer of wealth by lawful means,

O collector of money, lawful and unlawful,

you spend the night and greet the morning in its shade.

You spend your nights and mornings in its shade,

سيُؤخَذُ مِنكَ غداً كلَه

سيُؤخَذُ مِنكَ غداً كلَه

وتُسأَلُ من بعدُ عَن كَلِّهِ

وتُسأَلُ من بعدُ عَن كَلِّهِ

Tomorrow all of it will be taken from you,

Tomorrow it will all be taken from you,

and afterward you will be questioned about all of it.

And then you will be asked about every bit of it.
