لم ترَ عيني كاتباً مثلَهُ

لم ترَ عيني كاتباً مثلَهُ

لكلِّ شيءٍ شاءَ وَشَّاءَ

لكلِّ شيءٍ شاءَ وَشَّاءَ

My eye has never seen a scribe like him,

An embroiderer of whatever he wishes.

يُبدعُ في الخَطِّ وفي غيرهِ

يُبدعُ في الخَطِّ وفي غيرهِ

بسحرٍ إنْ شاءَ إنشاءَ

بسحرٍ إنْ شاءَ إنشاءَ

He works wonders in calligraphy and in other things,

With magic, if he wishes to compose.
