عفاء على هذا الزّمانِ فإنَّهُ

عفاء على هذا الزّمانِ فإنَّهُ

زَمانُ عُقوقٍ لا زَمانُ حُقوقِ

زَمانُ عُقوقٍ لا زَمانُ حُقوقِ

May ruin befall this age, for it is

Pardon this time, for it is

an age of disloyalty, not an age of honoring rights.

A time of filial impiety, not a time of rights.

فكُلُّ رَفيقٍ فيه غَيرُ مُرافِقٍ

فكُلُّ رَفيقٍ فيه غَيرُ مُرافِقٍ

وكُلُّ صَديقٍ فيهِ غَيرُ صَدوقِ

وكُلُّ صَديقٍ فيهِ غَيرُ صَدوقِ

So every companion in it is no true companion,

Every companion in it is unfaithful,

and every friend in it is not truthful.

And every friend in it is untrue.
