If you wish to capture the love of a man of intellect,

And gain dominion over his heart and its enclosing membrane,

Then let him share in the good you have been granted,

And through kindness bring him into love's snare.

Have you not seen the birds of the sky swooping low

For grain, like rain pouring from the heights of the sky?

Likewise, a man of judgment and reason captures

The affections of hearts' innermost cores, without grain.
