إذاif اتخذْتَyou choose أخاa brother فاسبرthen probe خلائقَهُhis character فإنَّfor indeed
إذا اتخذْتَ أخا فاسبر خلائقَهُ فإنَّ
ذاpossessor of الحزمprudence والتَّدبيرِand planning مَنْthe one who سَبَراhas probed
ذا الحزم والتَّدبيرِ مَنْ سَبَرا
If you choose a brother, probe his character, for indeed
If you take a brother, then observe his character, for
the man of prudence and sound planning is he who has probed.
The one with wisdom and carefulness is he who observes.
