قلتُ لهُ ماذا السَّوادُ الذّي

قلتُ لهُ ماذا السَّوادُ الذّي

فيكَ تَبدَّىقالَ ذا غالِيَهْ

فيكَ تَبدَّىقالَ ذا غالِيَهْ

I said to him, “What is the blackness that

I said to him, "What is that blackness

has appeared on you?” He said, “This is ghāliyah perfume.”

That has appeared in you?" He said, "It is precious to me."

فقلْتُ قَبِّلْني أجِدْ ريحَها

فقلْتُ قَبِّلْني أجِدْ ريحَها

فقالَ خُذْها قُبلةً غالِيَهْ

فقالَ خُذْها قُبلةً غالِيَهْ

So I said, “Kiss me, that I may smell its fragrance.”

So I said, "Kiss me, let me find its scent."

Then he said, “Take it—a costly kiss.”

He said, "Take it as a precious kiss."

فقلْتُ لا تَغلو على مَنْ غَدا

فقلْتُ لا تَغلو على مَنْ غَدا

في حُبِّكمْ ذا كبِدٍ غالِيَهْ

في حُبِّكمْ ذا كبِدٍ غالِيَهْ

So I said, “It is not too costly for one who has come

So I said, "Do not make it too expensive

through love for you, to have a seething liver.”

For one whose liver has become precious in your love."
