والحِسَّand the sense of touch عنfrom كلِّevery لْهوٍdiversion ماعَداexcept بَصَريmy sight
والحِسَّ عن كلِّ لْهوٍ ماعَدا بَصَري
I have withdrawn my hearing, my sense of smell, and my taste together,
I've closed off hearing, smell, taste all together
and my sense of touch, from all diversion—except my sight.
And feeling from all frivolity except my sight
ومَنْand whoever تجافىturned away عنِfrom اللّذّاتِpleasures قاطِبةًaltogether
ومَنْ تجافى عنِ اللّذّاتِ قاطِبةً

مِن غَير عَجزٍ فلا تعذِلْهُ في النَّظَرِ
And whoever turns away from pleasures altogether,
And he who turns from all pleasures universally
not out of incapacity—do not reproach him for looking.
If not from disability, then do not blame his gaze
