  1. قالَ لي أحمدٌ وقد أزفَ البَي

    نُ وأضحى جَميعُ أمري شَتيتا

    Ahmad said to me, as parting drew near

    and all my affairs had fallen into disarray:

  2. مُرْ بما شِئتَهُ فقلْتُ مجيباً

    رُدَّ قَلبي ثمَّ ارتحِلْ كيفَ شيتا

    “Command whatever you wish.” I said in reply:

    “Return my heart, then depart as you please.”
