لقاؤُكَ يُدني مُنى المُرْتَجي

لقاؤُكَ يُدني مُنى المُرْتَجي

ويفتَحُ بابَ الهَوى المُرْتَجِ

Meeting you brings the hopeful one's wishes near,

And opens the barred door of love.

فأسرِعْ إلينا ولا تُبطِئَنَّ

فأسرِعْ إلينا ولا تُبطِئَنَّ

فإنّا صِيامٌ إلى أنْ تَجي

فإنّا صِيامٌ إلى أنْ تَجي

So hurry to us, and do not delay,

For we are fasting until you come.
