Whenever God waters the lands and their people,

Then may He favor the lands of Abivard with that rain.

For it has brought forth a gallant man, the equal of Abu Sa'd,

Surpassing his peers like a tawny lion—

A young man through whose inmost character nobility has spread,

Just as the rose's fragrance has spread through the rose.
