إذا أبصرْتَ في لَفظي فُتوراً

إذا أبصرْتَ في لَفظي فُتوراً

وخَطَّي والبَلاغَةِ والبَيانِ

وخَطَّي والبَلاغَةِ والبَيانِ

If you see weakness in my speech,

and in my writing, eloquence, and expression,

فلا تَرْتَبْ بِفَهمي إنَّ رَقْصي

فلا تَرْتَبْ بِفَهمي إنَّ رَقْصي

على مَقدارِ إيقاع الزَّمانِ

على مَقدارِ إيقاع الزَّمانِ

then do not doubt my understanding: my dancing

is measured by the rhythm of the times.
