وأبرِزْ نورَهُنَّ مِنَ الصَّواني
Come to the brimming trays,
Come to the vessels full of wine
And bring their light forth from the coverings.
And bring out their radiance from the vessels

And loosen the bonds of captive pleasures
And unleash the bonds of delightful companions
With a virgin cup of yours, or a seasoned one.
With a morning cup or a cup in the evening

بَراحٍ أو غِناءٍ أو غوانِ
For a young man's life is but his concern
For the life of a young man is nothing but his pleasure
With wine, or song, or lovely women.
In comfort or song or beautiful companions

When joy presents itself, what excuse is there
For one of sound judgment to delay?
For one with sound judgement to hesitate
