صَوُن الفَتى عقلَه ودينَهُ

صَوُن الفَتى عقلَه ودينَهُ

يَحميهِ عن شَرْبَةٍ مَعِينَهْ

يَحميهِ عن شَرْبَةٍ مَعِينَهْ

A young man's safeguarding of his reason and his faith

keeps him from a draught of flowing water.

ومنْ أرادَ الوُرودَ رِفْهاً

ومنْ أرادَ الوُرودَ رِفْهاً

فَلْيُهِنِ العِرْضَ ثمَّ دِينَهُ

فَلْيُهِنِ العِرْضَ ثمَّ دِينَهُ

And whoever wishes to reach the water in comfort,

let him debase his honor, then his faith.
