Sol 6.1

  1. إذا ما جادَ بالأموالِ ثَنَّى

    ولم تُدرِكْهُ في الجُودِ النَّدامَهْ

    Whenever he gave generously of his wealth, he gave again,

    And no regret overtook him in his generosity.

  2. وإنْ هجَسَتْ خواطِرُهُ بجمعٍ

    لِريْبِ حوَادثٍ قالَ النَّدى مَهْ

    And if thoughts of hoarding arose within him,

    To guard against the vagaries of events, Generosity said, 'Stop!'
