وإذا سموْتَ إلى المعالي فاخْتَرِطْ

وإذا سموْتَ إلى المعالي فاخْتَرِطْ

عَزماً كما عَزَمَ الرِّجالُ البُزَّلُ

عَزماً كما عَزَمَ الرِّجالُ البُزَّلُ

And when you aspire to lofty heights, unsheathe

When you aspire to glory, be resolute,

resolve, as seasoned men have resolved.

Like the determination of tried warriors.

إنْ كنتَ ترضى بالدَّنِيَّةِ صاحِباً

إنْ كنتَ ترضى بالدَّنِيَّةِ صاحِباً

فالأرضُ حيثُ حلَلْتَها لكَ منزِلُ

فالأرضُ حيثُ حلَلْتَها لكَ منزِلُ

If you are content with lowliness as a companion,

If you are content with baseness as a comrade,

then the earth, wherever you settle upon it, is your home.

Every spot of earth where you pitch your tent is your home.
