وللِخُودِand for the fair maiden مِنِّيfrom me ساعةٌan hour ثمَّthen بَينَناbetween us
وللِخُودِ مِنِّي ساعةٌ ثمَّ بَينَنا
فَلاةٌa wilderness إلىtoward غَيرِother than الوَفاءِfidelity تُجابُis crossed
فَلاةٌ إلى غَيرِ الوَفاءِ تُجابُ
And the fair maiden has an hour of my time; then between us
My cheeks had an hour with you, then between us
Lies a wilderness crossed toward something other than fidelity.

وغَيرُand other than فُؤاديmy heart للغَوانيfor beautiful women رَمِيَّةٌa target
وغَيرُ فُؤادي للغَواني رَمِيَّةٌ
وغَيرُand other than بَنانيmy fingers للزّجاجِfor glass cups رِكابُmounts
وغَيرُ بَناني للزّجاجِ رِكابُ
And a heart other than mine is a target for beautiful women,
Other than my heart, I'm an easy target for the flirtatious;
And fingers other than mine are mounts for glass cups.
