أخو الإنسانِ مَنْ واساهُ فيما

أخو الإنسانِ مَنْ واساهُ فيما

يذمّ النّاسُ فيهِ ويحمَدونَهْ

يذمّ النّاسُ فيهِ ويحمَدونَهْ

A person's brother is whoever stands by him in whatever

The brother of mankind is he who consoles him

People blame him for and praise him for.

In that which people blame and praise him for

فإن يُرزَقْ ثَراءً يَلْهُ عنهُ

فإن يُرزَقْ ثَراءً يَلْهُ عنهُ

وإن يُقصَدْ بشَرِّ يَحْمَ دونَهْ

وإن يُقصَدْ بشَرِّ يَحْمَ دونَهْ

So if he is granted wealth, his brother pays it no heed;

If he gains wealth, it distracts him from it

And if he is targeted with harm, his brother comes to his defense.

And if he meets with harm, they sympathize with him
