لئِنْ كذبَتْ ظُنوني في مَقامي

لئِنْ كذبَتْ ظُنوني في مَقامي

لَديك وخانَني أمَلٌ فَسيحُ

لَديك وخانَني أمَلٌ فَسيحُ

If indeed my expectations prove false concerning my stay

If my suspicions at my station proved false

with you, and a boundless hope betrays me,

And a hope in you betrayed me, then it's easy to depart.

فإنِّي لا أخالِفُ قَولَ رَبِّي

فإنِّي لا أخالِفُ قَولَ رَبِّي

وأرضُ اللهِ واسِعَةٌ فَسيحوا

وأرضُ اللهِ واسِعَةٌ فَسيحوا

then I will not go against my Lord's words:

Yet I don't contradict my Lord's decree,

“And God's earth is spacious, so roam.”

For God's earth is vast, so roam free.
