The earth is wilderness except in your shelter; so if

I lodge my hopes in your shelter, there is no wilderness.

Whoever shuns the earth solely for the sake of lofty rank

seeks and searches in your shelter—there is no wilderness.

I journey by night, and from my hope and your assent

two stars have risen for me; if they set, I shall not journey.
