خَلَفَ بنُ أحمدُ الأخلافِ
أربىsurpassed بسؤدُدِهِthrough his nobility علىbeyond الأسلافِthe forebears
أربى بسؤدُدِهِ على الأسلافِ
Khalaf ibn Ahmad, of the succeeding generations,
The heirs of Ahmad raised high their glorious banners,
surpassed the forebears through his nobility.
Khaled, son of Ahmad, truly nurtured thousands,
خلفُKhalaf بنُson of أحمدَAhmad فيin الحقيقةِtruth
خلفُ بنُ أحمدَ في الحقيقةِ
واحدٌone لكِنَّهُbut he مُوفٍsurpassing علىbeyond الآلافِthe thousands
واحدٌ لكِنَّهُ مُوفٍ على الآلافِ
Khalaf ibn Ahmad is, in truth,
He became a guiding light for the clan of Layth,
one man, yet he surpasses thousands.
Like the Prophet was for the clan of Manaf.
أضحىhe became لآلِto the house of اللَّيثِal-Layth أعلامِbeacons of الهُدىguidance
أضحى لآلِ اللَّيثِ أعلامِ الهُدى
مِثلَlike النَّبيِّthe Prophet لآلِto the house of عبدِAbd منَافِManaf
مِثلَ النَّبيِّ لآلِ عبدِ منَافِ
To the house of al-Layth, beacons of guidance, he became
like the Prophet to the house of Abd Manaf.
