إذاif ضاقَgrows difficult أمرٌa matter فارجُthen hope in ربَّكَyour Lord إنَّهُindeed He
إذا ضاقَ أمرٌ فارجُ ربَّكَ إنَّهُ
قديرٌfully able علىto تَيسيرِmaking easy كُلِّevery عَسيرِdifficult thing
قديرٌ على تَيسيرِ كُلِّ عَسيرِ
If a matter grows difficult, put your hope in your Lord, for He
When hardship comes your way, turn to your Lord, for He
is able to make every hardship easy.
Is able to make easy what is difficult.
وبينَand between تَرَقِّيthe rise of جَوزَةٍa walnut وانحدارِهاand its descent
وبينَ تَرَقِّي جَوزَةٍ وانحدارِها
فَكاكُrelease أسيرٍa captive وانجِبارُand the healing of كَسيرِa broken one
فَكاكُ أسيرٍ وانجِبارُ كَسيرِ
And between a walnut’s rise and its descent
Between a walnut's sprouting and bearing fruit
come a captive’s release and a broken one’s healing.
Lies the deliverance of captives and humbling the proud.
