May I be your ransom! How much anger have I suppressed, and how much do you think

I have banished? Noble of soul is he who restrains his anger.

I praised you, and necklaces took shape; never have

The proud, noble, mighty lords attained their like.

For you are a sea, and the meanings are pearls,

And my innate gift is a diver, and my verse a stringer of pearls.
