دعْني فلن أخلِقَ ديباجَتي
ولستُand I am not أُبديI reveal للوَرىto humankind حاجَتيmy need
ولستُ أُبدي للوَرى حاجَتي
Leave me, for I will not wear out my face's brocade.
Let me be, for I shall not make my brocade
And I do not reveal my need to humankind.
Nor shall I reveal my needs to the people

I must keep to my home, and
I must stay home and be content
Be content with whatever of my stew is at hand.

My home safeguards my standing,
My home preserves my status
And my stew honors my face's brocade.
And my garden honors my brocade
