An apple, exuding fragrance like musk,
An apple, wafting fragrance like musk,
The beholder and the one inhaling its scent yearn for it.
For which both the beholder and the smeller yearn,

كما التقى المعشوق والعاشق
Redness coursed through its yellow hue,
Redness flows into yellowness within it,
As the beloved and the lover met.
Just as the beloved and the lover meet.
