إِنَّما الدُنيا هِباتٌ

The world is nothing but gifts,

The world is but borrowed joys,

And borrowed things to be reclaimed;

Gifts soon to be reclaimed.

شِدَّةٌ بَعدَ رَخاءٍ

شِدَّةٌ بَعدَ رَخاءٍ

وَرَخاءٌ بَعدَ شِدَّه

وَرَخاءٌ بَعدَ شِدَّه

Hardship after ease,

Hardship follows times of ease,

And ease after hardship.

And ease follows times of hardship.
