قُل لِذي الوَجهِ الطَرِرِ

قُل لِذي الوَجهِ الطَرِرِ

وَلِذي الرَدفِ الوَثيرِ

وَلِذي الرَدفِ الوَثيرِ

Say to the one with the handsome face,

Say to the one of sullen face

and to the one with the soft, full buttocks,

And ample buttocks,

وَلِمِغلاقِ هُمومِ

وَلِمِغلاقِ هُمومِ

وَلِمِفتاحِ سُروري

وَلِمِفتاحِ سُروري

and to the lock that shuts out my cares,

To the lock of my worries

and to the key to my joy:

And key to my joy—

يا قَليلاً في التَلاقي

يا قَليلاً في التَلاقي

وَكَثيراً في ضَميرِ

وَكَثيراً في ضَميرِ

O you so seldom met,

O you I seldom chance to see

yet so often in my thoughts.

Yet dwell deep within my heart
